Gwen has been providing counselling for mental health since 2016. Her approach begins with building a positive and supportive therapeutic relationship with the client. Sessions involve somatic therapy and a focus on strengthening the mind-body connection. Each session will focus on the client’s needs, whether that is healing the wounds from trauma and PTSD, managing depression and anxiety, recovering from abuse, or any other situation that is interfering with the client’s well-being. Together, we uncover healthy ways of healing, finding hope, and moving forward with new skills to support your mental and physical health.

Sessions are person-centered and strength-based, guided by compassion, and will always move at a pace the client is comfortable with. Grounding techniques are taught and practiced in session to support the client who is seeking services for anxiety or traumatic events.

Each session seeks to equip the client with appropriate skills that can be used in maintaining their own well-being and facilitate growth long after therapy has ended.

A sensory room is available for children’s sessions. Play, art, and movement are used as part of the therapy.
